Early in my teaching career, I spent hours searching for activities, digging through old lesson plans, and trying to remember what I taught last year. By the time Monday arrived, I was exhausted before the week even began. Then I made one simple change that completely transformed my planning. Instead of planning one lesson at a time, I started planning an entire month at once. That one habit saved me countless hours and made every week feel more organized. Here's the simple system I still use today: Week 1: Introduce the Skill Teach the fundamentals with demonstrations, simple activities, and plenty of practice. Week 2: Build Confidence Use stations, partner work, and fun challenges to increase repetition.
